Innovative, practically oriented and more international than ever – such was this years OTWorld, held from 3 to 6 May 2016. 21,300 visitors from 86 countries came to the Leipzig Fair and Exhibition Centre, in order to get information about the developments and innovations in orthopaedic aids and treatments, as well as to discuss issues relating to quality of care. The worlds largest meeting place for the sector, with 542 exhibitors and 330 speakers from all over the globe, set standards for prosthetics, orthotics, orthopaedic footwear technology, technical rehabilitation and the retail trade of the future.
The next 8OTWorld will be held from 15 to 18 May 2018 in Leipzig. The chair of the Programme Steering Committee will be taken over by Prof. Dr. Volker Bühren, Senior Consultant for Trauma Surgery and Sports Orthopaedics at the Garmisch-Partenkirchen Medical Center and Medical Director for Reconstructive Trauma Surgery and Orthopaedics at the BG Unfallklinik Murnau.
