A novel and inexpensive indication tool to be applied on the human heel.
Shows heel inclination and hindfoot motion directly and objectively, even when the foot is hidden inside a shoe and cannot be seen with our eyes.
For immediate assessment of lower extremity impact from insoles / shoes.

The effect of sensorimotor insoles on the knee adduction moment during walking: a randomised cross-over study Abstract:
10 Patienten wurden ganganalytisch untersucht. Hypothetisch sollte sich das Knieadduktionsmoment (KAM) durch die korrektive Supination des unteren Sprunggelenks mit der Einlage reduzieren. Die Ergebnisse bestätigen dieses und zeigen eine Verkleinerung der Vorfußabduktion mit Einfluss auf das KAM

Study of military footwear comfort, selected size, and lower leg overuse injuries Abstract:
We assessed n=227 infantry soldiers for a history of overuse injury, footprint length, used shoe size, and footwear comfort. Study results showed that improper boot size was significantly related to comfort ratings but was not associated with a history of lower leg overuse injury.

Cause of pain following arthrorisis surgery for a flexible flat foot Abstract:
Der flexible Plattfuß wird operativ mit einer Arthrorisestoppschraube oder einem Subtalar”Bolzen” versorgt. Eine temporäre Absatzerhöhung verringert postoperative Beschwerden. Dies wird damit erklärt, dass dekompensierte Equinusfehlstellungen durch die Operation wieder zum “Spitzfuß” werden.
